Here's a few friends & their great Young Adult & Middle Grade reads!
Biz is a perfectly normal teenager except for one minor detail: she uses sunlight to jump back to yesterday. She takes advantage of flickering by retaking Trig tests, fixing fights with her boyfriend (or reliving the making up), and repeating pretty much anything that could be done better. Trouble is, flickering makes her head explode from the inside. Or feel like it anyway. No one knows about her freakish ability and she’s content to keep it that way.
Guys don’t stick around because she refuses to let them in, but all that changes when Cameron, her best friend, starts looking oh-so-yummy. Suddenly she’s noticing his biceps, his smile, and the cute way his eyes crinkle when he—gah! This is her friend! But the butterflies come to a screeching halt when little girls start disappearing, then take a nosedive when the police link the kidnappings to Cameron’s sister, who vanished years earlier. As the police grasp for clues, Biz photographs a strange man lurking in the shadows and realizes that her flickering can help more than just herself.
This is the first in a series. I'm looking forward to the rest!
When Amanda Sault and her four classmates are caught in a major food fight at school, they are given the choice of suspension or yard duty. It was a no-brainer. A two-week crash course in landscaping leads the kids to discover a weathered stone arch buried in an overgrown backyard. Instead of a forgotten lawn ornament, it turns out to be an ancient time portal from the lost continent of Atlantis.
Chosen by an Atlantean Magus to be Timekeepers—legendary time travelers sworn to keep history safe from an evil force—the five children, along with two offbeat adults, are sent on the adventure of their lives to save the Earth from an uncertain future. The Timekeepers’ first mission lands them in England in 1214, where they must find an adolescent Robin Hood and his band of merry teens before history is turned upside-down.
This is also the 1st of a series! I enjoyed this one as well. It reminds me of a YA version of my own series.
Being a Dreamer has its perks; unfortunately, Shelby is having one dream too many about people meeting their tragic end. She is not alone. Since childhood, Shelby and Tristan have been frequent characters in each others' subconscious world but have never met, until now.
Shelby catches sight of her familiar visitor in the halls of their school and realizes he is more than just a player in her visions. She is determined to warn Tristan of his impending doom, even if it means he’ll think she is insane.
Before she has an opportunity to approach him, though, Tristan introduces himself and shares some unsettling news: He is also a Dreamer and it is Shelby’s lifeless body he sees in his dreams.
Shelby and Tristan should have died. What they see as a gift, Death sees as interference with fate. Despite keeping their gift hidden, one figure has taken notice. Death intends to stop them from meddling with the fate of others… permanently.
Death is now their shared nemesis. Will their vigilance, wit and the insight of their prophetic dreams be enough to save them and their friends? Will it be enough to win round two? Sometimes you can cheat Death.
My daughter & I both enjoyed this one. She was a caul baby like Shelby and very much, a dreamer as well.

Not only are the girls upset by the admonition, but they also struggle with the fact that their exuberant investigating could provide a legal loophole allowing the killer to go free.
